WALK A MILE IN HER HEELS
Myrtle Beach, SC – Belk at Myrtle Beach
Mall, in partnership with McLeod Health, is inviting its customers to join them
in supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Friday October 25th. There
will be several events held throughout the day.
9:00am
- Pink Human Ribbon – Meet in the Food Court parking lot of Myrtle Beach Mall to be a
part of the 2nd Annual Pink Human Ribbon; afterwards enjoy ‘pink’
refreshments and door prizes.
9:00am
– 4:00pm – Mammograms by McLeod Health – If you are a female between the ages of
40-64 and currently have no medical insurance, you may qualify for a free
mammogram on the McLeod Mobile Mammography Unit. Please call (843) 390-8326 to see if you
qualify. The McLeod Mobile Mammography
Unit will be located in the parking lot outside of the Belk store.
10:00am
– 5:00pm – Coastal Cancer Center -- Representatives from Coastal Cancer Center will be on hand to
answer your questions.
1:00pm
– 3:00pm – Lymphedema Screenings by McLeod Seacoast -- screenings to take
place in front of the Ladies Belk Store
2:00pm
– 4:00pm – Foot Screenings by Coastal Podiatry Associates – screenings to take
place in front of the Ladies Belk Store
4:00pm
– Walk A Mile In Her Heels – Join us in a mile walk inside Myrtle Beach Mall to raise breast
cancer awareness and funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Your $10 registration fee ($12 the day of the
event) includes an event t-shirt. After
the walk enjoy ‘pink’ refreshments, Myrtle Beach Mall retailer discounts and an
opportunity to win some great door prizes!
Men and women are encouraged to join, heels or no heels! You can register at Customer Service inside
the Men’s Belk store or find one at www.shopmyrtlebeach.com.
Create
A Masterpiece -- Watch as local artist,
Scott Kingston, creates an original masterpiece before your eyes – and you can
be a part of it! Trace your high heel
shoe, add color to the rainbow; paint along with Scott and be a part of
history. This extraordinary painting
will be sold as one large work of art or as individual 3’x7’ paintings. All proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen for
the Cure. Scott will be creating his
masterpiece in front of the Ladies Belk Store.
